Nidra Deep Rest Eye Mask

The Nidra Deep Rest is a one-piece contoured mask that puts weight first. Nidra lists it at about 1 oz (28 g); most rivals here do not publish a weight. The cups are deeply molded, and Nidra says they never touch the lashes or eyelids. It claims 100% blackout “when properly fitted”, which is a brand claim rather than a measured figure.

Fit is its other strength. The hook-and-loop strap covers head sizes from 14 to 26 inches, and Nidra sells two sizes: Standard (8.9 x 3.1 in) and Small (7.87 x 3.0 in). It is the only mask on this list sold in two sizes, so the Small is worth a look if standard masks gap at the sides of your face. When checked, the Standard came in black, brown, pink and blue at $31.99, and the Small was $29.99 in blue, with other Small colors sold out.

Care is less clear than it should be. The product specs say hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry. The home page says not to machine wash or tumble dry. The product FAQ mentions a gentle machine cycle. Follow the hand-wash instruction to be safe. Nidra also suggests avoiding alcohol-based creams near bedtime.

Nidra accepts returns within 30 days.

Compared with the MZOO, the Nidra comes in two sizes and publishes its weight, but costs nearly twice as much at its direct price. Against the Manta Sleep Mask it offers a Small size, but its cups do not move and Manta’s is machine washable.
