Who Hooga is
Hooga is based in New Berlin, Wisconsin and was founded in 2018 by Cord Young, Dave Hibler and Tyler Galganski. Its main line is red and near-infrared light panels, and it also sells red light masks, helmets and belts, sauna blankets and lighting.
What we list
Three Hooga products appear here. The HG300 panel is on our red light therapy page. The circadian full spectrum bulb and the 625 nm red sleep bulb are on our circadian light bulbs page. A red bulb for evenings has the clearest rationale of the three: in a study of 72 adults, blue light at 446 to 477 nm was the most potent at suppressing melatonin at night, and red sits far from that range. See the best light color for sleep.
Claims to check
Hooga’s homepage says it provides testing, safety and certification details on a separate page, but it does not name a lab on the homepage. For panels, irradiance figures depend heavily on distance and on the meter used. Our guide does red light therapy work explains what the evidence does and does not support.
Warranty and returns
The homepage lists a 3-year warranty on HG, PRO and ULTRA panels and a 60-day return window, with return shipping deducted from the refund.
