LIFX

Who LIFX is

LIFX is a brand of Feit Electric, with staff spread from Los Angeles to Melbourne. It makes smart bulbs, light strips, ceiling and outdoor lights, lamps and switches.

Why it is on a circadian site

Smart bulbs are useful for light timing because you can schedule them: bright, cool white in the morning and dim, warm light in the evening. LIFX bulbs connect straight to Wi-Fi with no hub or bridge, which keeps setup simple. The SuperColor A19 we list is a full color bulb, so it can also produce red or amber light at night.

Two cautions. First, a warm-looking white is not the same as low blue; dimming matters as much as color temperature. Second, no household bulb comes close to daylight levels, so a smart bulb is a tool for evenings, not a replacement for morning sunlight. Our guide to the best light color for sleep covers both points.

Warranty and returns

The LIFX site mentions a 30-day return window and links to a separate product warranty page for terms. Compare LIFX with Philips Hue and dedicated sleep bulbs on our circadian light bulbs page.
