Hatch
US sleep device company behind the Restore line of sunrise alarm clocks and the Hatch Baby range, co-founded by Ann Crady Weiss and Dave Weiss.
Who Hatch is
Hatch was co-founded by Ann Crady Weiss and Dave Weiss; Ann is CEO. The company appeared on Shark Tank in 2016 and also sells Hatch Baby products for nurseries. Its adult products are the Restore series, which Hatch calls a “phone-free smart sleep clock for adults,” and a Sleep Clock that tracks sleep without a wearable.
What the Restore does for light
The Restore 3 pairs a sunrise wake light with a sound machine. The sunrise works like other dawn simulators: light ramps up before your alarm. Hatch also sells a paid membership, linked from its site but not priced on the homepage. Check what it adds before comparing the Restore with one-off purchases on our sunrise alarm clocks page.
What the evidence says
Dawn simulation has a modest evidence base, mostly small trials. No published study we know of has tested the Restore itself. Our guide do sunrise alarm clocks work covers what the research supports and where it runs out.
Returns
The Hatch site links to a returns portal but does not state a return window on its homepage. Check the policy before buying.
