Alaska Bear
Amazon-first sleep accessories brand selling mulberry silk sleep masks, pillowcases and bonnets at low prices.
Where Alaska Bear sells
Alaska Bear sells mainly through its Amazon storefront. We could not find a brand-run store; the site at thealaskabearshop.com describes itself as part of the Amazon Associates program and sends buyers to Amazon. Support and returns therefore run through Amazon.
What they make
The range is silk sleep masks, silk pillowcases, bonnets and a few other accessories. The mask we list is sold on Amazon as a silk eye cover with a shaped foam pad, marketed as machine washable and as a contoured upgrade over flat satin masks. The listing does not state a momme weight for the mask.
What matters for sleep
A sleep mask is the cheapest way to block light at night, and blocking light matters. In a lab study of 116 young adults, ordinary room light under 200 lux during usual sleep hours suppressed melatonin by more than 50% in most trials. The trade-offs are fit and comfort: flat silk masks are light and soft but can leak light around the nose, while contoured masks keep pressure off the eyes. Our sleep masks page compares both styles, and do blackout curtains help you sleep covers why darkness matters.
Amazon listings change often. Check the current version and seller on the listing before buying.
